The American Heart Association ACLS program is for advanced medical providers. It builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of preventing cardiac arrest. The goal is to help improve the ability to treat patients with cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. This is a very dynamic, hands-on course, participant participation is mandatory.
The AHA’s PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. The goal of PALS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
